Player vs. service, in one box

Sparkle TV is only a player, we provide a premium playlist that works with the Sparkle TV app.

1. What you need for Nvidia Shield TV

The Shield is the fastest Android TV device, so everything here feels quick. Have these ready and the setup takes about ten minutes.

  • Your Nvidia Shield TV connected to the internet
  • 15 Mbps or more for HD — 25 Mbps for 4K
  • Your playlist details — from the email we send after you order or claim a free trial on this site
  • About ten minutes

2. Install Sparkle TV from Google Play

Google Play is the normal route on the Shield. If Play does not list the app, the next section is your backup plan.

1
Press Home on the Shield remote and open Google Play.
2
Search for Sparkle TV and open the app page.
3
Choose Install — the player is free to download.
4
Open it once so it appears on your home row, then add your playlist below.

3. Downloader fallback if Play does not show it

If Google Play does not list Sparkle TV on your Shield, use Downloader instead.

1
Install Downloader by AFTVnews from Google Play.
2
Allow it to install apps: go to Settings → Device Preferences → Security & restrictions → Unknown sources and allow Downloader.
3
Open Downloader and type the code 2696977, then press Go.
4
Or type the direct APK link from our Download page instead of the code.
5
Install Sparkle TV when the download finishes, then continue to 'Add your premium playlist'.

4. Add your premium playlist

Your email from us includes both login formats — Xtream Codes and an M3U URL — so use whichever you prefer. No email yet? Activation is instant and your details are emailed instantly after payment clears, so order a package or claim your free trial first, then come back to this step.

1
Open Sparkle TV and choose Add Playlist.
2
Choose Xtream Codes login — the recommended option, with the most reliable EPG and categories.
3
Type the server URL exactly as it appears in your email.
4
Type your username and password — case-sensitive, with no spaces before or after.
5
Name the playlist (for example 'Sparkle TV Premium') and tap Save.
6
Prefer M3U instead? Choose M3U, paste your full M3U link from the email, and name the playlist.
7
If the player asks for an EPG URL, paste the one from the same email.
8
Wait 1–3 minutes while the channels and guide download on the first load.

The full walkthrough is in our How to Add a Playlist to Sparkle TV guide.

5. Check your channels

Three quick checks confirm the setup worked. One Shield tip at the end is worth the cable.

1
Open Sparkle TV and let the playlist load.
2
Play a live channel for a minute — smooth and in HD.
3
Check the guide shows the right times for your time zone.
4
Start a movie or series from the library.
5
The Shield rewards a wired ethernet connection with the steadiest 4K picture — plug it in if your router is nearby.
6
If you keep recordings with the player's Sparkle Plus features, a Shield Pro with external storage makes a good home for them.

6. Troubleshooting — buffering, login and EPG fixes

Almost every setup problem is a mistyped password, a playlist pasted with a missing character, or weak Wi-Fi. Work through these fixes in order — they solve the vast majority of first-time setups.

  • Login rejected (401 / invalid): re-type the Xtream Codes username and password slowly — check capitals and extra spaces.
  • Blank or missing channels: refresh the playlist in the player's Settings, and check the M3U URL was pasted in full.
  • Buffering: test your speed (15 Mbps for HD, 25 Mbps for 4K), restart the app and the router, and use the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band or a wired connection where you can.
  • Empty EPG: refresh the guide and confirm your time zone is set correctly.
  • Guide feels sluggish after months of use: restart the Shield from Settings → Device Preferences → About → Restart, and clear the player's cache in Settings → Apps → Sparkle TV → Clear cache.
  • Still stuck? Contact support@sparkletvplayer.com — tell us your device model and the exact error.

7. Prices, free trial and next steps

Every plan includes the full playlist — plans differ only in length and devices. Start with the free trial, then choose a subscription if you love it.
