Player vs. service, in one box

Sparkle TV is only a player, we provide a premium playlist that works with the Sparkle TV app.

Chromecast with Google TV device

1. What you need for Chromecast with Google TV

This guide is for the Chromecast with Google TV — the model with a remote and an on-screen interface. A cast-only Chromecast (the older dongle with no remote) cannot install apps on its own, so it cannot run Sparkle TV directly — use one of the other Android devices in this series instead.

  • Your Chromecast with Google TV connected to the internet
  • 15 Mbps or more for HD — 25 Mbps for 4K
  • Your playlist details — from the email we send after you order or claim a free trial on this site
  • About ten minutes

2. Install Sparkle TV from Google Play

Everything happens on the TV screen with the remote — no phone casting is needed. If Play does not list the app, the next section is your backup plan.

1
Pick up the Chromecast remote and press Home.
2
Go to the Apps tab and open Google Play.
3
Search for Sparkle TV and open the app page.
4
Choose Install — the player is free to download.
5
Open it once when the install finishes, then add your playlist below.

3. Downloader fallback if Play does not show it

If Google Play does not show Sparkle TV, install it with Downloader instead.

1
Open Google Play, search for Downloader by AFTVnews, and install it.
2
Allow it to install apps: go to Settings → Apps → Security & restrictions → Unknown sources and allow Downloader.
3
Open Downloader and type the code 2696977, then press Go.
4
Or type the direct APK link from our Download page instead of the code.
5
Install Sparkle TV when the download finishes, then continue to 'Add your premium playlist'.

4. Add your premium playlist

Your email from us includes both login formats — Xtream Codes and an M3U URL — so use whichever you prefer. No email yet? Activation is instant and your details are emailed instantly after payment clears, so order a package or claim your free trial first, then come back to this step.

1
Open Sparkle TV and choose Add Playlist.
2
Choose Xtream Codes login — the recommended option, with the most reliable EPG and categories.
3
Type the server URL exactly as it appears in your email.
4
Type your username and password — case-sensitive, with no spaces before or after.
5
Name the playlist (for example 'Sparkle TV Premium') and tap Save.
6
Prefer M3U instead? Choose M3U, paste your full M3U link from the email, and name the playlist.
7
If the player asks for an EPG URL, paste the one from the same email.
8
Wait 1–3 minutes while the channels and guide download on the first load.

The full walkthrough is in our How to Add a Playlist to Sparkle TV guide.

5. Check your channels

Three quick checks confirm the setup worked. The power tip at the end prevents mid-stream reboots.

1
Open Sparkle TV and let the playlist finish loading.
2
Play a live channel from the guide for a minute.
3
Check the guide times match your time zone.
4
Start a movie or series from the library.
5
Keep the Chromecast powered from its wall adapter rather than a low-power TV USB port — under-powered dongles can reboot mid-stream.
6
The 5 GHz Wi-Fi band gives the steadiest picture.

6. Troubleshooting — buffering, remote and login fixes

Almost every setup problem is a mistyped password, a playlist pasted with a missing character, or weak Wi-Fi. Work through these fixes in order — they solve the vast majority of first-time setups.

  • Login rejected (401 / invalid): re-type the Xtream Codes username and password slowly — check capitals and extra spaces.
  • Blank or missing channels: refresh the playlist in the player's Settings, and check the M3U URL was pasted in full.
  • Buffering: test your speed (15 Mbps for HD, 25 Mbps for 4K), restart the app and the router, and use the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band or a wired connection where you can.
  • Empty EPG: refresh the guide and confirm your time zone is set correctly.
  • Remote will not pair, or the interface lags: restart from Settings → System → Restart, check for updates, and free up storage — Chromecast storage is small, so uninstall apps you do not use.
  • Still stuck? Contact support@sparkletvplayer.com — tell us your device model and the exact error.

7. Prices, free trial and next steps

Every plan includes the full playlist — plans differ only in length and devices. Start with the free trial, then choose a subscription if you love it.

  • 2 devices — $19.99 / $46.98 / $74.98 / $99.99 for the same periods
  • Instant activation — details arrive by email instantly after payment clears
  • One free 24-hour trial per user — not available on live match days, and trials are not refundable
  • Sparkle Plus is information only: $1.49/month, $7.99/year or $20.99 one-time, bought in-app via Google Play and shareable to up to 5 devices — this site does not sell or activate it
