Player vs. service, in one box

Sparkle TV is only a player, we provide a premium playlist that works with the Sparkle TV app.

1. What you need for Android TV

This works the same on Sony, TCL, Hisense, Philips and other TVs with Android TV built in. Have these ready and the whole setup takes about ten minutes.

  • Your Android TV connected to the internet
  • 15 Mbps or more for HD — 25 Mbps for 4K
  • Your playlist details — from the email we send after you order or claim a free trial on this site
  • About ten minutes

2. Install Sparkle TV from Google Play

Google Play is the normal route on Android TV. If Play does not list the app on your TV, the next section is your backup plan.

1
Press Home on the remote and open Google Play.
2
Use the search at the top and type Sparkle TV.
3
Open the app page and choose Install — the player is free to download.
4
When it finishes, press Open once, so Sparkle TV is added to your home row.
5
Go straight to 'Add your premium playlist' below — if search did not find the app, do the Downloader section first.

3. If Google Play does not show it — Downloader or APK

On some older Android TVs, Google Play does not list Sparkle TV. The Downloader app fixes that in a few minutes.

1
Allow installs first: go to Settings → Device Preferences → Security & restrictions → Unknown sources and allow Downloader.
2
On some TVs the path is Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps → Downloader → Allow.
3
Open Google Play, search for Downloader by AFTVnews, and install it.
4
Open Downloader and type the code 2696977.
5
Press Go, then install Sparkle TV when the download finishes.
6
Or type the direct APK link from our Download page into Downloader instead of the code.

4. Add your premium playlist

Your email from us includes both login formats — Xtream Codes and an M3U URL — so use whichever you prefer. No email yet? Activation is instant and your details are emailed instantly after payment clears, so order a package or claim your free trial first, then come back to this step.

1
Open Sparkle TV and choose Add Playlist.
2
Choose Xtream Codes login — the recommended option, with the most reliable EPG and categories.
3
Type the server URL exactly as it appears in your email.
4
Type your username and password — case-sensitive, with no spaces before or after.
5
Name the playlist (for example 'Sparkle TV Premium') and tap Save.
6
Prefer M3U instead? Choose M3U, paste your full M3U link from the email, and name the playlist.
7
If the player asks for an EPG URL, paste the one from the same email.
8
Wait 1–3 minutes while the channels and guide download on the first load.

The full walkthrough is in our How to Add a Playlist to Sparkle TV guide.

5. Check your channels

Three quick checks confirm the setup worked. Then one tidy-up makes the player one click away.

1
Open Sparkle TV and let the playlist finish its first load.
2
Open the guide, choose any live channel, and let it play for a minute — smooth and in HD.
3
Check the EPG times match your local time — set the time zone in the player's settings if they are off.
4
Start one movie or series from the on-demand library.
5
Use the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band or a wired connection where possible.
6
Pin Sparkle TV to your favourites row, so it is one click from the home screen.

6. Troubleshooting — buffering, login and EPG fixes

Almost every setup problem is a mistyped password, a playlist pasted with a missing character, or weak Wi-Fi. Work through these fixes in order — they solve the vast majority of first-time setups.

  • Login rejected (401 / invalid): re-type the Xtream Codes username and password slowly — check capitals and extra spaces.
  • Blank or missing channels: refresh the playlist in the player's Settings, and check the M3U URL was pasted in full.
  • Buffering: test your speed (15 Mbps for HD, 25 Mbps for 4K), restart the app and the router, and use the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band or a wired connection where you can.
  • Empty EPG: refresh the guide and confirm your time zone is set correctly.
  • App missing from the home row: open Settings → Apps, find Sparkle TV, launch it from there, then pin it to the home screen.
  • Google Play says the app is not compatible: check for a system update in Settings → Device Preferences → About, restart the TV, and try again — or use the Downloader route above.
  • Still stuck? Contact support@sparkletvplayer.com — tell us your device model and the exact error.

7. Prices, free trial and next steps

Every plan includes the full playlist — plans differ only in length and devices. Start with the free trial, then choose a subscription if you love it.
