How to Add a Playlist to Sparkle TV — M3U URL & Xtream Codes Setup

Your playlist is how our service reaches the Sparkle TV player — this guide shows both ways to load it, step by step. Your email contains both formats, so use whichever your player screen asks for.

Player vs. service, in one box

Sparkle TV is only a player, we provide a premium playlist that works with the Sparkle TV app.

TV guide on screen — adding an M3U playlist to Sparkle TV

1. What is a playlist — and what it is not

A playlist is the address book that tells your player where your channels and library live, and proves you have a trial or subscription with us. It is not the app — and the app alone gives you no channels.

2. Method 1 — Xtream Codes login (recommended)

This method loads categories, catch-up listings and the EPG most reliably. Use it whenever it is offered.

1
Open Sparkle TV and choose Add Playlist.
2
Choose Xtream Codes / Login with Xtream Codes API.
3
Enter the server URL exactly as it appears in your email.
4
Enter your username and password — case-sensitive, no spaces before or after.
5
Name the playlist and tap Save.
6
Let it load — the first load can take 1–3 minutes.

Device-specific screens: Firestick, Android TV, Google TV.

3. Method 2 — M3U URL playlist

Use this if your player screen asks for an M3U link instead of a login. One warning first: a single missing character breaks an M3U URL.

1
Choose Add Playlist, then M3U / Load M3U URL.
2
Paste the full link from your email — the whole line, with nothing trimmed.
3
Give it a name, such as 'Sparkle TV Premium'.
4
Tap Save and let it load.

Channel names look wrong? Delete the playlist and re-paste the link in full.

Try the playlist free for 24 hours

One free trial per user, full playlist access, no card required to start. Or see real playlist prices for 1 and 2 devices.

4. Add the EPG programme guide

If your player asks for a separate EPG / XMLTV URL, it is in the same email as your playlist.

1
Paste the EPG URL from your email into the EPG field.
2
Set your time zone in Settings.
3
Tap Refresh on the guide.
4
Give a large guide a few minutes to populate on first load.

5. Update or refresh your playlist

Renewed your plan? Your login usually extends automatically — a quick refresh is all most people ever need.

1
Open Settings in the player.
2
Choose Refresh playlist to pull the latest line-up.
3
Do the same when a new title will not play, or the guide looks stale.

Never share your playlist link or login publicly — it is effectively your password. Think it has been shared? Contact us and we will rotate it.

6. Common playlist errors and fixes

Four errors cause almost every playlist problem. Find yours and follow the fix.

  • 401 / invalid login: username or password is wrong — check capitals and re-type, and do not paste with a trailing space.
  • Blank playlist: the M3U URL was pasted incomplete — copy it again in full.
  • Playlist loads but nothing plays: check your connection and whether your trial or plan is still active — and remember trials are not available on live match days.
  • Network error: it is Wi-Fi, not your account — restart the router and try again.

Need a hand?

Keep your playlist details private. Anyone with your M3U URL or Xtream Codes login can use your connection — if that happens, email support@sparkletvplayer.com and we will issue fresh details.

Ready to watch? Start free for 24 hours

One free 24-hour trial per user (not on live match days, trials not refundable). Paid playlist packages from $14.98 carry a 7-day money-back guarantee, with instant activation after payment clears.
