Player vs. service, in one box

Sparkle TV is only a player, we provide a premium playlist that works with the Sparkle TV app.

1. What you need for Android TV Box

Generic boxes and AOSP sticks vary more than branded devices, which is why this guide starts with Downloader — it works on almost all of them. Have these ready before you start.

  • Your Android TV Box connected to the internet
  • 15 Mbps or more for HD — 25 Mbps for 4K
  • Your playlist details — from the email we send after you order or claim a free trial on this site
  • About ten minutes

2. Install the Downloader app

Downloader is the tool that will fetch and install Sparkle TV. On generic boxes it is the most reliable route, which is why this guide starts with it.

1
If your box has Google Play, open it, search for Downloader by AFTVnews, and install it — it is free.
2
No Google Play? Look for Downloader in the box's own app store instead.
3
Do not open it yet — first give it permission to install apps, in the next section.

3. Allow Downloader under Security & restrictions

This permission is what lets Downloader install Sparkle TV in the next step. Boxes hide it in slightly different places, so follow the path below.

1
Go to Settings on the box.
2
Open Security & restrictions — on some boxes it sits under Device Preferences.
3
Choose Unknown sources.
4
Find Downloader in the list and turn it On — for Downloader only; you do not need to turn unknown sources on for every app.

4. Install Sparkle TV — code 2696977, APK or Google Play

Downloader is ready. The code is the easiest route — the APK and Google Play options are here too, so every box is covered.

1
Open Downloader.
2
Type the code 2696977 in the address box and press Go.
3
Wait for the Sparkle TV file to download, then choose Install.
4
Or type the direct APK link from our Download page into Downloader instead of the code.
5
Box has Google Play with Sparkle TV listed? You can simply install it from Google Play like any other app.
6
When the install finishes, open Sparkle TV and continue to 'Add your premium playlist'.

5. Add your premium playlist

Your email from us includes both login formats — Xtream Codes and an M3U URL — so use whichever you prefer. No email yet? Activation is instant and your details are emailed instantly after payment clears, so order a package or claim your free trial first, then come back to this step.

1
Open Sparkle TV and choose Add Playlist.
2
Choose Xtream Codes login — the recommended option, with the most reliable EPG and categories.
3
Type the server URL exactly as it appears in your email.
4
Type your username and password — case-sensitive, with no spaces before or after.
5
Name the playlist (for example 'Sparkle TV Premium') and tap Save.
6
Prefer M3U instead? Choose M3U, paste your full M3U link from the email, and name the playlist.
7
If the player asks for an EPG URL, paste the one from the same email.
8
Wait 1–3 minutes while the channels and guide download on the first load.

The full walkthrough is in our How to Add a Playlist to Sparkle TV guide.

6. Check your channels

Three quick checks confirm the setup worked. Budget boxes also reward the three habits in the checklist below.

1
Open Sparkle TV and let the playlist finish its first load.
2
Play a live channel for a minute — smooth, in HD.
3
Check the guide times match your time zone.
4
Start a movie or series from the library.
  • Use a wired ethernet connection where you can
  • Close other apps while you watch
  • Keep at least 1 GB of storage free

7. Troubleshooting — buffering, install and login fixes

Almost every setup problem is a mistyped password, a playlist pasted with a missing character, or weak Wi-Fi. Work through these fixes in order — they solve the vast majority of first-time setups.

  • Login rejected (401 / invalid): re-type the Xtream Codes username and password slowly — check capitals and extra spaces.
  • Blank or missing channels: refresh the playlist in the player's Settings, and check the M3U URL was pasted in full.
  • Buffering: test your speed (15 Mbps for HD, 25 Mbps for 4K), restart the app and the router, and use the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band or a wired connection where you can.
  • Empty EPG: refresh the guide and confirm your time zone is set correctly.
  • Install blocked with no clear message: your box is hiding the permission — look under Settings → Security & restrictions → Unknown sources and allow it for Downloader (or your file manager) specifically, not globally.
  • Box very slow: close background apps and restart it before trying again.
  • Still stuck? Contact support@sparkletvplayer.com — tell us your device model and the exact error.

8. Prices, free trial and next steps

Every plan includes the full playlist — plans differ only in length and devices. Start with the free trial, then choose a subscription if you love it.

  • 1 device — $14.98 / $34.98 / $49.98 / $69.99 for 1 / 3 / 6 / 12 months
  • 2 devices — $19.99 / $46.98 / $74.98 / $99.99 for the same periods
  • Instant activation — details arrive by email instantly after payment clears
  • One free 24-hour trial per user — not available on live match days, and trials are not refundable
  • Sparkle Plus is information only: $1.49/month, $7.99/year or $20.99 one-time, bought in-app via Google Play and shareable to up to 5 devices — this site does not sell or activate it
